Rik Ellis will be fighting next on November 7th at the Empress Hall a large venue in Aldershot, Hants UK - Rik's opponent will be Dusty Miller ........The next planned fight is at a big London venue for " Cage Rage " which is on Sky TV.

My father Henry Ellis was a direct student of the legendary Budo Master Kenshiro Abbe Sensei from 1957. " The Ellis Schools of Traditional Aikido " have always followed the true traditional teachings of K Abbe Sensei, to this day, my father has always taught a strong and Positive Aikido style, believing that Aikido is a Martial Art. Modern Aikido is many different things to many different people. Aikido seems to attract some latent hippy characaters. To some it is some kind of quasi religeon. My father has said how saddenend he is to see much of what is offered as `` Aikido `` today is little more that a form of dancing.

Rik Ellis Aikido / MMA

Rik Ellis has trained in Aikido from the age of 5 yrs with his father Henry Ellis Sensei a British Aikido pioneer from 1957, and a direct student of the legendary Budo Master Kenshiro Abbe Sensei who introduced Aikido to Britain in 1955. Rik was involved in the preparation of the book ` Positive Aikido ` with his father and the co-authors Dave Rogers USA and Derek Eastman UK.
Rik took part in the great Kenshiro Abbe Memorial Event at Crystal Palace London in May 2005 when demonstrating with his father. He was proud to also take part in the M Nakazono Memorial Event at Neath in 2007. Rik has travelled to the USA teaching with his father in Dallas Texas and Alamogordo New Mexico.
